Sacrifices of Praise Vol. I is presented in  an attractive three ring binder for ease in removing pages for copying of parts.

Four selections are contained in Volume I:   1. Christ, Our Grand Reality:  Scored for Trumpet, Timpani, Choir and Congregation Organ and String Orchestra. This is based on the Tune CHESTER  by William Billings (1746-1800), Arr. T. J. Doeppers 2003.  This selection includes an exciting Responsive Choral finale. [General Worship]  2. Lift Up Your Heads, Ye Mighty Gates: Scored for trumpet, Timpani, Choir and Congregation, Organ, and String Orchestra.  This is based on the Tune TRURO: L.M. T. Williams' Psalmodia Evangelica, 1789, Arr. T. J. Doeppers 2003 [General Worship]  3. O Praise Ye The Lord by Charles H.H. Parry 1894 from "Laudate Dominum (Parry)", Arr. T. J. Doeppers 2001.  This selection includes Responsive Choral Amens. [Festival/General Worship] 4. Worship Hymn* Scored for Trumpet, Timpani, Harp, Choir and Congregation, Organ, and String Orchestra.  This is an original work by T. J. Doeppers.  An energetic 2 verse hymn with a choral Scirpture lesson by the choir presented between the verses. [Festival/General Worship]

JOHN (TRUMPET).  The hymn text is by Charles Wesley, 1707-1788.  Arr. by T. J. Doeppers, 2003 .  Three other Charles Wesley Hymn texts are provided with the arrangement of this Tune:  The Lord Jehovah Reigns, Ye Virgin Souls, Arise and Yet Another Year. 2. Look, Ye Saints! the Sight Is Glorious:  Scored for Trumpets I, II, Choir and Congregation, Organ, String Orchestra, this text is based on Titus 2:13 Music by William H. Monk, 1823-1889.  Lyrics by Thomas Kelly, 1769-1855.  Arr. by T. J. Doeppers 2001.  [General Worship]

3. O Worship the King:  Scored for Trumpets I, II, Timpani, Choir and Congregation, Organ, String Orchestra.  This is set to the tune HANOVER, William Croft, 1708. Lyrics by Sir Robert Grant, 1833 based on Psalm 104. Arr. T. J. Doeppers 2003.  [General Worship]

4. The Head That Once Was Crowned With Thorns Is Crowned With Glory Now! Scored for Trumpets I, II, Trombones I, II, Timpani, Choir and Congregation, Organ, String Orchestra.  This is set to the Tune: ST. MAGNUS by Jeremiah Clark, 1707.  Lyrics by Thomas Kelly, 1820 based on Hebrews 2:9-10 Arr. T. J. doeppers 2003. [Easter/General Worship]
